Shekhawat

Shekhawats are one of the prominent sub-clan of the Kachhwahas, descending from Rao Shekha, a great-grandson of Udaikaran of Amber. Among all the Kachwaha sub-clans of Jaipur, the Shekhawats held the most prominence and served as the rulers of the Shekhawati region.
