From Kshatriya Wiki

Khangarot is a prominent Rajput sub-clan of the Kachhwaha dynasty, known for holding the largest number of tazimi thikanas, including Boraj, Diggi, and Jobner. They were closely allied with the Jaipur royal family, known for their loyalty and military service. Descended from Maharao Khangar, a celebrated warrior and noble, the clan’s legacy is marked by bravery and royal service. Rao Khangar Singh, son of Maharav Jagmal Kachhwaha and nephew of Raja Bharmal of Amber, distinguished himself as a skilled military leader. He played pivotal roles in several imperial campaigns, including the defense of Delhi against Ibrahim Husain Mirza, pursuing him to Multan, and serving as a leading commander in the famous Battle of Haldighati alongside Maharaja Man Singh.

Rao Khangar also fought valiantly in major Mughal expeditions across Gujarat, Bengal, and Punjab, engaging rebellious Afghan and Rajput chiefs. The Khangarot clan’s martial heritage further includes participation in legendary battles such as the Battle of Khatu Shyam Ji and the Battle of Khanwa under the leadership of Rana Sanga, firmly establishing their place in Rajput history.
