Nikumbh
The Nikumbhas, also referred to as Nikunpas, were a Rajput clan that held sway over parts of the Alwar–Jaipur region. They are said to have displaced the Badgujars to control this area. Their early capital was Abhanagari, present-day Abaneri, where King Chandra (Chand) is credited with constructing the famous Chand Baori stepwell in the 8th century AD.
