Shri Parakram Singh Jadeja is an Indian entrepreneur and philanthropist known for developing an indigenous ventilator within just 10 days at a cost of ₹1 lakh. He pledged to donate the first 1000 units, worth ₹10 crores, to the Government of Gujarat.
The ventilators were developed by a team led by scientist Dr. Rajendra Singh Parmar and will be produced by the company owned by Shri Jadeja.
Ventilator Development
In response to an urgent need, Shri Jadeja's company collaborated with Dr. Rajendra Singh Parmar’s team to create a low-cost ventilator. Dr. Parmar, who spent five years in the United States before returning to India, left behind a successful career abroad to contribute to his home country. The resulting machine was developed in just 10 days and will be mass-produced by Shri Jadeja’s company.

Shri Parakram Singh Jadeja's life is regarded as a “rags to riches” story. In his early days, he struggled financially and lacked formal education. He began his journey by opening a shop with a borrowed amount of ₹30,000. Over time, his enterprise grew significantly. Today, his company spans over 9 lakh square feet and has a turnover of ₹600 crores.
Personal Philosophy and Social Work
Despite his success, Shri Jadeja avoids publicity and is known for his dedication to social causes. He treats all his employees as family members, with a shared uniform policy that includes everyone from himself to the peon. A chess enthusiast, he sponsors numerous sports and educational events.
In 2008, he sponsored the National Basketball Tournament and has continued to support healthcare and education initiatives. His organization operates technology centers in Chennai, Rajkot, and Pune to train young athletes.
Response to Government Request
Although Shri Jadeja’s company is not in the healthcare business, the ventilator project was undertaken at the request of the Gujarat Government, showcasing his commitment to social responsibility.
Clan Background
Shri Parakram Singh Jadeja belongs to the Jadeja clan, one of the most significant tribes of the Yaduvansh lineage, second only to the Bhatis among the Chandravanshi Rajputs. The Jadejas claim direct descent from Lord Krishna. Prominent in Gujarat, the Jadeja clan traces its name to the legendary Lakho Jadani.
